Studying abroad is an exciting opportunity that offers teenagers a chance to learn beyond the boundaries of their home countries. Nowadays more and more teens tend to exploit this opportunity as they prefer to challenge themselves and become more independent. However, this journey has multiple difficulties especially during adaptation.
On the one hand, studying abroad would be the perfect decision that provides students with high quality education systems and innovative teaching methods. Also, in technologically developed countries there is a plethora of technological equipment that would be beneficial for them while studying. Another crucial asset is the fact that a student would be independent from their parents and they could make their own choices. They will be familiarized with navigating new environments, solving problems independently and becoming more confident in their abilities, such as cooking or managing their finances.
On the other hand, education, especially higher education, can be expensive making it difficult for some individuals to access quality learning. Tuition fees, books and living expenses can lead to significant student debt. In many parts of the world education is not equally accessible and many people, particularly from low-income families, struggle to afford it. Last but not least, students might face cultural shock and most important language difficulties. In countries where citizens aren’t familiar with English, they should learn the local language for better communication. However, learning a new language not only can facilitate the communication between people but it is also an opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and get experience.
To sum up, education gives people the chance to improve their lives, no matter where they come from. Consequently, studying abroad is always a good option for students with higher demand. Personally, the advantages outweigh its drawbacks, and everyone deserves it.
